What to pack for a charter week

Space aboard is tight and lockers are small, so pack light, in soft bags, and bring the few things that matter at sea.

Bags

Soft, foldable bags only. Hard suitcases do not fit in the lockers and there is nowhere to put them during the week.

Reef-safe sunscreen, high factor
Hat with a strap or clip, and polarised sunglasses with a cord
Seasickness tablets or bands (start them before you need them)
Snorkel and mask (some boats have them; your own fit better)
Beach towels: bed linen and bath towels are often provided, beach towels often not

Head torch for the cabin and the dinghy at night
Phone in a waterproof pouch; a power bank
12V (car-socket) USB charger: not every boat has 230V sockets away from the marina
Reusable water bottles
Personal medicines and a small first-aid kit
Some cash: small harbours, mooring buoys and island shops do not all take cards
